ForaSpace ‘SOHO’ Launch Promo

Fora recently approached Anyways to help create two animated shorts promoting the opening of their new co-working spaces in Soho and Spitalfields.

The tagline was ‘a space to be brilliant’, and Niceshit were asked to create a spot representing Soho’s history. Niceshit focused on portraying “the cultural imapct that Soho had.”

With the animated short, Niceshit needed to announce that Fora was moving to Soho as well as to celebrate the excitement and cultural history of Soho.

From being London’s first hunting park, to becoming a place where Londoners saw their first tomatoes and grapefruits, the project traced key and iconic moments in the history of Soho. Niceshit told us that:

“The development process was very interesting on this project, we learned so many new and interesting things we didn’t know about London’s rich history which meant we were able to tell the stories in a really fun and vibrant way!”

Niceshit used a limited colour palette, consisting mainly of teal blue, vibrant yellow, and the occasional red. The animation for Fora’s other new workspace in Spitalfields, done by Milo Targett, consisted of the same colours, both to link the two locations and to ‘solidify the Fora colours in the eyes of the viewer’.
